M605 Warning: DuraPlates come pre-installed on all powder-coated frames; however, they are not installed on the wheels. Wheels are reamed and tapped for easy installation by the customer. If you’re purchasing a weld-together kit, you may need to minimally ream or clean up the 3/8″ holes during assembly.

These packages were developed by Rogue Fab in collaboration with KJ Raycing to provide everything you need to build your own crosskart right in your shop. Start by selecting your chassis and suspension options, then choose from our three trim levels: Base, Shop, or Pro. If you’re not familiar with crosskarts or the plans from KJ Raycing, we highly recommend checking out their website at KJ Racing Web Page (Crosskart Project Plans). They offer the most complete, accurate, and easy-to-follow crosskart plans we’ve ever seen. While we have no formal affiliation with KJ, we’re big fans of their work. KJ offers two main chassis designs: the VF-1, a single-seat kart, and the VF-2, a two-seater (side-by-side). If you’re undecided about which one to build or which suspension setup you’ll use, simply select the VF-1 option — it includes every die needed for both the VF-1 and VF-2 builds. Easy!

Here is a summary of each package:
Base Level: This is the most budget-friendly option. It includes either a Weld-Together M601 Bender kit or a fully welded and powder-coated version, depending on the option you choose, all the dies needed for building a crosskart, and compatibility with an air/hydraulic ram (sold separately). Tube notching must be done manually with a grinder, saw, etc., unless you choose to add a VersaNotcher to your order.
Shop Level: This package includes a fully welded and powder-coated M605 bender, or a weld-together kit, depending on which option you choose, all necessary dies, and your choice of either an air/hydraulic or electric/hydraulic ram (both sold separately). It also comes with a VersaNotcher, a pedestal mount, and a set of 1.5″ deep hole saws for precise notching. This kit offers a great balance of value and convenience.
Pro Level: Designed for speed and durability, the Pro Level kit includes a welded and powder-coated M625 bender, or a weld-together kit, depending on which option you choose, and the option to purchase a full 2HP electric/hydraulic power system with an automatic bend stop (sold separately). The included hole saws are upgraded to our premium 3″ depth models, making this our most capable and high-performance option.
PLEASE NOTE: KJ RAYCING PLANS LIST 1.5″ X .083″ TUBING FOR MANY CHASSIS PARTS. THIS SIZE WILL NOT BEND ON OUR 1.5″ X 4.5″ CLR DIE SET WITHOUT A MANDREL ATTACHMENT. YOU WILL NEED TO USE AT LEAST .105″ WALL THICKNESS TUBE FOR ACCEPTABLE BEND QUALITY ON THE 1.5″ X 4.5″ CLR DIE SET. Making this very slight change will allow you to still follow KJ’s plans and also have great bend quality!
We can make changes to ANY of these packages. We can change the assembly to be weld together, powder-coated, swap or add dies, or do anything else you need! Just contact us.
Machine Hydraulic Power Requirements: The air/hydraulic option consumes 6 cubic feet of compressed air per minute (CFM) at 110 PSI and requires no electricity at all. As long as your air compressor has a storage tank, it doesn’t necessarily need to sustain 6+ CFM continuously. Our other hydraulic systems are electric/hydraulic. The 1.5 HP electric/hydraulic system draws approximately 8.1 amps at 220–250 volts AC, while the 2.0 HP system draws around 12.5 amps at the same voltage range. All of our systems are designed for 60 Hz power, but we offer options for 50 Hz upon request. They are also compatible with 208V power. Although we can wire the 2 HP system for 110V if needed, it draws over 25 amps in that configuration, making it a highly uncommon and generally discouraged option.
