Die Component Selection

A die forms your bend. Each die needs a pressure die and a clamp block to actually work. Pressure dies + clamp blocks have adjustable quantities (2"+ heavy-duty defaults to two pressure dies).

Pressure die

The pressure die pushes against the tube during the bend. Required, the die won't work without one.

A mandrel supports the inside of the tube so you can bend thinner walls or tighter radii without collapsing. We flag it automatically if your spec needs one. It includes everything required to bend, the only variable is the bronze mandrel, sized to your tube.

Hydraulics

How will you power it?

A hydraulic ram does the bending force. Air runs off shop air (cheapest); electric power units are fastest for production. Required, the bender can't bend without one (or pick "I'll provide my own").

Bend capacity chart

Feasibility comes from our own capacity testing. "Min wall (as-is)" is the thinnest wall that bends cleanly without support at that radius; thinner walls need a mandrel (or a thin-wall roller at the minimum). All figures are in inches.
